Ahoy, Betsy!
How VERY exciting to hEAR you'll be enjoying a
Very Merrytime Cruise aboard the Disney Fantasy this holiday season! Disney knows how to make the holidays feel extra special even at sea so be prepared for an enchanting week sprinkled with loads of extra pixie dust. My crew has experienced two festive sailings during the most wonderful time of yEAR, and they both rank nEAR the top of our list of favorite Disney Cruise vacations.
A few wonderful members of the cruise staff and a member of the pastry team usually offer a Gingerbread House Making activity on the Very Merrytime sailings. In fact, my husband and I worked together to create a yummy Mickey-themed masterpiece last December. The pastry chef guided us step-by-step showing us how to assemble the house with the icing before he let us loose to add our own creative touches. If this event is offered during your cruise, you'll want to head to the Port Adventures Desk on Deck 5, Midship when you board the ship for your complimentary tickets. When I did this last December, there were several sessions offered throughout the cruise, but it was first come, first-served.
Betsy, there will be several holiday events you won't want to miss on your cruise including Mickey's Tree Lighting Magic Ceremony, the Deck the Deck Tropical Holiday Party and Santa's Winter Wonderland Ball! I suggest arriving early to all of these so you can find a great viewing spot. The Characters will be in their most festive holiday attire so have your camera charged and ready to capture the magic!
I'm so glad you sailed over to "sea" us, Betsy! We hope you'll visit again if you have any further questions.
Have a fantastical day!
Nancy
