    Linda from CO Asked

I want to use a debit card. If I pay off the balance every night, will my bank account still be charged? Also, can mobile orders be charged back to my room? Thank you.

Hello there, Linda! Welcome to planDisney! We appreciate you taking the time to reach out and allowing us to help you plan your visit to Walt Disney World Resort!

Staying with the Disney Resorts Collection has a variety of amazing perks you’re definitively want to take advantage of! Some of these include closer proximity to the theme parks, complimentary transportation across the property, early access to advanced dining reservation booking, and so much more! One of my personal favorite features, though, is the ability to charge merchandise and food purchases to your Disney Resort hotel room. When touring the parks or shopping across the property, you can use your MagicBand or MagicMobile pass to charge your purchase to your room instead of using another form of payment. You will then be able to keep track of all of your charges right from the My Disney Experience app on your smartphone!

The way that room charges work throughout your stay is by actually placing a hold on whichever account you have on file. Then, on your day of departure, they will charge you for whatever remaining balance you have on file. You can make payments towards your account as frequently as you would like so this final balance is not charged all at one time or so you can use a different form of payment. All you will need to do is stop by the front desk at your Disney Resort hotel and request to make a payment on your room balance!

Mobile Food and Beverage Ordering is another feature available on the My Disney Experience app that can save you so much time! Guests are able to make their orders in advance from anywhere in the theme parks and then simply pick up their order at a more convenient time. At this time, you are not able to charge Mobile Food and Beverage orders to your Disney Resort hotel room. However, you are able to use Disney Gift Cards which is another way I stick to a budget during my own visits! Typically, I pre-load a specific amount onto my Disney Gift Cards according to how much I would like to spend and limit myself to that amount throughout my trip. This a great way to have more accountability to your budget and spend less time worrying about the numbers!

Best of luck as you continue to plan for your vacation to Walt Disney World Resort! Please let us know if we can answer any other questions for you!
