Can I use a debit card when checking into my resort

A very merry unbirthday to you, Elizabeth!

I'm so glad you followed the White Rabbit through Wonderland and found your way here to planDisney today. We're all mad for Disney here, and it seems like you must be too. Hooray!

You are more than welcome to use an active debit card when checking in for your Disney Resorts Collection hotel reservation, Elizabeth. I have done this many times before in the past and have never had any issues. If you plan on charging purchases to your room during your stay, be sure to set up a PIN code for your card during the check-in process at the Front Desk, but first make sure you read and understand the full Payment Card Policy before doing so. If the authorization hold outlined in the policy worries you, I suggest bringing along a Disney Gift Card to use for incidentals during your trip. You also have the option of paying off the charges to your room each night at the Front Desk with a Disney Gift Card or another form of accepted payment.

Elizabeth, if you find yourself curiouser and curiouser about all the exciting new offerings at Walt Disney World Resort, be sure to follow planDisney on Instagram and tune in to the planDisney Podcast. Feel free to step back through the planDisney looking glass again if more questions pop up before your trip.

    Keep painting the roses red,
    Alyssa
