    Hello, I am debating between mid October and early November for our first trip to WDW. Is there a significant difference in the weather/crowds between this time? Any special events I should try to get to or avoid? Thanks in advance.

    An autumn visit to the Walt Disney World Resort is a magical experience, and I'm sure you will have a great time whenever you choose to visit! There are a few differences between mid-October and early-November, most notably the special events. Dates have not yet been announced for next year's seasonal events, but I am happy to share a quick run-down of this year's festivities.

    Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party was held on select nights from September 15 through November 1, 2015. This special event required a separate admission ticket, and included eerie entertainment, trick-or-treat trails, character greetings, limited-time snack and merchandise offerings, and more.

    Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party will be held on select nights from November 8 through December 18, 2015. This special event also requires a separate admission ticket, and includes holiday-themed entertainment, character greetings, limited-time snack and merchandise offerings, snowfall on Main Street, U.S.A., and more.

    Both events are quite fun for the whole family, and will allow you to experience Magic Kingdom Park in a new and festive way. If you are interested in attending either one of these parties, I recommend keeping an eye on the Disney Parks Blog in early 2016 for event details and ticket information.

    There is not really a big difference between mid-October and early-November weather at the Walt Disney World Resort. Historically speaking, the chance of precipitation is about the same for both months. The temperature is slightly cooler in November, but only by a few degrees. As far as crowd levels are concerned, you should be fine visiting at either time, but please keep in mind that any holidays (like Columbus Day and Halloween) can draw in crowds.
