Hello, we are debating getting the DDP this time because my daughter is 11. She is considered an adult now on the DDP, and is a very picky eater. If your not on DDP can you order a kids meal from a TS or QS location? Thank you!

    Dear Kaireen,

Thank you so much for stopping by to visit us here at the Disney Parks Moms Panel with your great planning question!

This is a very common concern for guests, since many tweens may not eat as much as a true adult and/or may not have adult tastes in food yet. The great news is that if you are on the Disney Dining Plan, your daughter can still order a kids' meal at Table-Service or Quick-Service restaurants, and of course would eat to her personal taste at a buffet, a character meal, or at a dinner show with a fixed menu.

If you choose not to purchase the Disney Dining Plan, you can also choose to pay out of pocket for a kids' meal at Quick-Service and most Table-Service locations. The exceptions to that are when you attend a meal that is a fixed price meal, such as a buffet, character meal, or dinner show. At those fixed price events, she would be treated and charged as an adult.

Hope that helps to clarify things!
