Hi Shona,
Thanks for sailing by planDisney with your
Disney Cruise Line question! You and your young sailors will have a wonderful vacation and I know you must be so excited. There are so many
fun activities for children onboard, including
play spaces perfectly designed just for them.
Debarkation day can be a busy time, so you are smart to allow plenty of time for your travel plans. Disney Cruise Line recommends that Guests book their
departure from Orlando International Airport no earlier than 11:15 a.m. on debarkation day. If you are traveling internationally, I recommend 12:15 p.m. as the earliest departure to allow for the extra time required for international flights so you won't be rushed.
Keep in mind that travel time from Port Canaveral to Orlando International Airport is about one hour, depending on traffic. If you plan to use Disney Ground Transportation, your departure time will generally be based on your flight time. Booking your transfers in advance by
calling Disney Cruise Line directly is recommended. You should receive information about ground transportation procedures before debarkation day. You can also stop by the Guest Services desk if you have any questions.
To make your travels easier, you can
request items such as Pack-n-Plays or strollers for use on the ship. These items are complimentary and are available on a first-come, first-served basis. You can request items using the Special Requests which may be found by signing into My Reservations and selecting Special Requests.
Shona, I hope this information helps you and your littles have a smooth sailing! Stop by planDisney any time with other questions or if you need tips for cruising with your family.
Wishing you many magical memories,
Shannon
