If we debark at Disney Cruise, and want to visit one of the Disney World parks, what is the best option for luggage? Our flight will not be until very late (10 PM), so not worried about missing a flight, but also not staying at a hotel either.

Hi Justin, and thanks for bringing your question to planDisney! Experiencing the magic by both land and sea sounds like an amazing vacation. I’d be happy to chat about where to keep your bags while you enjoy some park time before heading home!

When I’ve wanted to make a stop before the airport, I’ve usually done a one-way car rental. You could pick up at a location near the cruise terminal and drop off at the airport. Then you can use the car all day for transportation and have somewhere to leave your bags.

If you’d rather not rent a car, you have a couple of other options for luggage storage. When my friend was in a similar situation on debarkation day, she took Disney Cruise Line ground transportation to the airport and left her bags at a third-party luggage storage company there. Then she used a ride-share service to and from Disney World. While you’ll have to make this side trip to the airport in the morning, it’ll be nice to have your bags already there when you come back for your flight.

Alternatively, you could go directly to Disney World and rent a locker inside the theme parks. Magic Kingdom and EPCOT have Jumbo sized lockers that measure 17” x 22” x 26”, however the number of the larger lockers is limited and there’s a chance they could run out before you get there. If you do go this route, keep in mind that bags larger than 24" x 15" x 18" aren't allowed in the theme parks, so measure your luggage to make sure they’re permitted inside.

And finally, I have a wild idea to share if you have the option to stay a little longer and take advantage of a special perk for Disney Resort hotel guests next summer! You could book a one-night stay at a Disney Resort hotel on debarkation day. This way, you can keep your luggage at Bell Services and head to one of the water parks because Disney Resort hotel guests get complimentary water park admission on check-in day during Summer 2026. That’s right, 100% on the Mouse! And if you fly out the next day, you can still visit one of the theme parks while Bell Services keeps your bags safe and sound after check-out. Keep an eye on the Special Offers page for Disney Resort hotel discounts that might apply to your dates.

I hope you have the most magical voyage and find a way to extend the magic for as long as possible at the end of your trip. And if you have any other questions, you’re always welcome back at planDisney!
