Greetings, Holger! Thank you for visiting planDisney with your question.
Your question called to me as I, too, have young Padawans that I hope are drawn to the light side. My crew and I spend a lot of time in
Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge at the
Disneyland Resort. My middle youngling loves to get his fix of blue milk from the
Milk Stand, while the Force draws me to the Cold Brew Black Caf at
Docking Bay 7. We always keep a keen eye for droids and wookies that are roaming the galaxy!
Holger, I love that you and your daughter want to build a lightsaber at
Savi's Workshop during your visit. Having built one with my oldest son, I can attest that it is a truly out-of-this-galaxy experience. I highly recommend
booking a reservation in advance of your visit to ensure availability on your preferred day.
I spoke with several Cast Members and Merchandise Guest Services on the availability of shipping a lightsaber to your home galaxy of Germany. Unfortunately, they could not provide me with a definitive answer. While they do offer international shipping to some countries, the information is subject to change, and I was unable to capture the information that you were looking for. The best suggestion I have is to check with the helpful "Gatherers" at Savi's upon your arrival. The Force is infinitely stronger with them, and I am sure that they can get you the answer that you seek.
Additionally, as my
planDisney pal Al recently pointed out, many Jedi are able to take their lightsaber onboard their flight as a carry-on item. While each Savi's lightsaber comes with a carrying case, over at
Dok-Ondar's Den of Antiquities they have the rarest treasures... and sturdier lightsaber carrying cases (available for purchase). I hope this information helps, Holger!
As always, may the force be with you,
Melissa
