Dear Panel, Thanks for all your assistance! We would like to have dinner at the California Grill on Tuesday, June 2nd. What time should we make reservations to be able to watch the fireworks display at the Magic Kingdom? Thanks...Bob

As you can see from the park calendar found HERE, the Wishes fireworks will be shown at 9:00 p.m. on June 2, 2009. You can expect that a three course meal at the California Grill will take somewhere in the neighborhood of an hour and a half.

During the show, the restaurant lights will dim and the show's music will be piped into the dining room. The pace activity slows markedly and nearly everyone stops to watch the show. For me, this is an ideal time to enjoy dessert. (Mmmm, eating decadent chocolate while watching the most magical fireworks ever. Nothing wrong with that picture.) To time it so that you're eating dessert during Wishes, I would aim for a seating at about 7:45. However, you would be able to see the show from the restaurant with a seating anywhere from about 7:00 (eat slowly) until 9:15 (go early and watch from the observation deck before you're seated).

    Have a wonderful time!
