Hi there, Kristin! I'm so excited for you to stay at Gran Destino Tower at
Disney's Coronado Springs Resort! The name of the tower was inspired by Destino, which was a short film project collaboration in the 1940s between Walt Disney and Spanish surrealist painter Salvador Dalí.
The beautiful two story lobby has a Spanish flair with an upscale modern vibe. As soon as you exit the front doors going out to the port-cochère, bear right and take the steps down to the bus stop. Here, you'll find several benches and a TV monitor displaying bus arrival times (note that you can also
check bus times from your My Disney Experience app- I like to do this from my room as I'm getting ready). Gran Destino Tower shares its
complimentary bus service with Disney's Coronado Springs Resort. Although the tower is considered the first bus stop, the current pick up order when going to all the theme parks is: Stop 2 (Casitas), Stop 3 (Ranchos), Stop 4 (Cabanas), Stop 1 (Gran Destino). When returning to the resort, the bus stop order is the same, and guests staying at the tower will get off last.
I recommend spending some downtime at your resort, Kristin!
The Lost City of Cibola Pool is one of the best pools on Walt Disney World Resort property, and it is easily accessible to tower guests via new walkways that run throughout the resort. I hope you have a magical stay this summer!
