Dear Friends, We are traveling from Germany to WDW to celebrate our oldest son's graduation from high school. Family members will join us; we would like to set up a graduation party on property. Do you have any recommendations for a medium size gathering

Hi, Betty Ann!  Some private events can be arranged right at your resort, depending on where you are staying.  There are private rooms available at many of the deluxe resorts, available to anyone.  You will find the Coronado Springs has private space as well.  You can contact the resort individually for parties there.

The theme parks have many options available for private parties.  Some of my favorite are the Illuminations dessert parties at EPCOT.  There are some beautiful locations around World Showcase, including Italy Isola, where you can enjoy desserts, coffee, and cold drinks for your guests in a private viewing area for Illuminations at EPCOT.

The Magic Kingdom can cater something during Wishes fireworks at the train station.  You'll have amazing views of the fireworks while your guests enjoy a dessert or snack.

For something like lunch or dinner, you might want to check out the Backstage Prop Shop at Disney's Hollywood Studios, or you might be able to enjoy dinner on the Terrace at the famous Hollywood Hotel, sight of the Tower of Terror Attraction.

Because there are a variety of phone numbers you might need to arrange an event, your best bet is to just call through to the main number and let them guide you with the proper phone numbers. For Disney private party catering, you can call 321-939-7278.  In the mean time, you might want to visit the Disney Travel Babble website, and click on Disney Weddings at the top.  There's a great list of locations and photos.

Have fun planning, and congratulation to your son!
