Ahoy April!
Welcome back aboard the Disney Parks Moms Panel. I am so happy to hEAR you will be sailing with Captain Mickey. I am sorry that you are nursing a shoulder injury, but glad it isn't holding you back from your high seas adventure!
There are quite a few options for you to keep that shoulder iced during your sailing. Although there is not a freezer unit in your stateroom refrigerator, you can get ice from a few different places onboard.
The
complimentary drink stations on the pool deck have ice machines built in, so you could bring your own bag to hold ice from these locations and create your own ice pack.
Room service is complimentary, so you could also ask them or your Stateroom Host to bring ice to your room for your use. Large coolers are on the
prohibited items list, but you could bring a smaller, soft-sided cooler if within the
cooler policy to keep your own ice packs cold.
Disney Cruise Line also has a
Health Center onboard each ship that carries remedies for minor first aid, including ice packs.
You could also consider packing instant ice packs in your luggage. My husband uses these for his basketball team's first aid kit. They are not cold and can be stored at any temperature, but once you crack them, they get cold quickly and are a little softer than a bag of ice!
Cruise back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel if you have any other questions about your upcoming adventure, April!
"Sea" ya real soon! Angie
