Heigh-Ho Amber,
Thank you for bringing your curiouser and curiouser inquiry to planDisney. Once a
MagicBand is assigned to a Guest it is theirs only and can not be reassigned to another Guest but can be deactivated.
Guests have options to access their Walt Disney World tickets via a Key to the World Card, MagicBand or creating a
Disney MagicMobile pass. A Key to the World Card is a hard copy ticket Guests can receive at a Guest Relations/Ticket Counter located outside of all Walt Disney World Theme Parks and will be used throughout their entire ticketed visit. The ever-popular MagicBand, as you know, comes in a variety of colors and designs and is typically adorned around the wrist. Guests are able to purchase as many MagicBands as they like but must assign them to a Guest prior to use. Once assigned it belongs ONLY to the Guest for which it is assigned too. And finally, this year Walt Disney World has introduced the new Disney MagicMobile pass found on the
My Disney Experience mobile app. Guests can design a digital mobile pass through their My Disney Experience mobile app. And with your smart device, as you enter a Walt Disney World Theme Park, access your tickets in the wallet feature and scan your phone at the touch point for entrance. The Disney MagicMobile service also has additional features such a Google Pay, scanning for Disney PhotoPass opportunities and to gain access to your virtual queue for Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance. This service continues to add more exciting conveniences for Guests and is worth staying on top of.
I hope I have helped and given you some ideas on how to proceed with your MagicBand questions and feel free to ask any further questions you may have. Stay up to date by following the
Disney Parks Blog and may your upcoming stay be filled with many magical and memorable moments.
Have a Practically Perfect Day,
Amy M.
