    How to deactivate magic bands

Welcome to planDisney, Joseph, where we love helping Guests like you with answers to their Disney vacation questions. I am so glad that you decided to stop by. It would be my pleasure to help answer your question about the wonderful MagicBand.

Over the years, I have accumulated quite the MagicBand collection, with a current count of 12 MagicBands active in my account. Since MagicBands are no longer provided complimentary to Disney Resort hotel Guests, I love having the option to use one of my old MagicBands on a new Walt Disney World Resort vacation. To view your current MagicBands, you will need to log in to your My Disney Experience account. Once logged in, select My MagicBands and Cards under the My Disney Experience drop-down menu. Scroll down until you see Manage MagicBands or Cards. Select the name to whom the MagicBand is assigned, and you will see a list of all active MagicBands and Cards for this individual. Next to each MagicBand or Card, you will see the options Deactivate and Report Lost. To deactivate, select the Deactivate option. Please note that you can have multiple MagicBands and Cards active at the same time. You do not need to deactivate one when receiving a new one.

I hope this information helps you manage your MagicBands. Remember, you’ve got a friend in us here at planDisney, so stop back by any time we can help answer your vacation questions.
