9/16-9/25 with DH, DDs 11,13.Thought we would do the H&V Fantasmic Dinner pkg but the food reviews I've read are not great. Now I'm thinking SciFi or 50's Prime Time may be better. What do you think? Will we be facing huge wait for the show?

    Hi Lori,

First off, Fantasmic is an amazing show and definitely should not be missed. It is extremely popular with limited seating so the lines do form quite early and there is always a chance you will not be able to find a seat in if you arrive close to show time.

We love the Fantasmic dinner package option as it allows us to spend some extra time in the park instead of waiting in a line for a seat. I always recommend using the dinner package option if at all possible for your Fantasmic experience.

There are three restaraunt that are included in this dinner package. One is of course is Hollywood and Vine, which is a buffet with a selection of salads, desserts, vegetables and carved meats. We have dined there a number of times and find the food good, but it is not one of our favorites as we can find similar choices elsewhere. While Prime Time and Sci Fi are both great fun locations, instead of giving up on the package, why not consider one of the other two participating locations.

The Brown Derby is home to the delicious Cobb salad and features a selection of mouth-watering filets, seafood options and more. I had the most incredible grouper there a few months ago and still talk about it. The setting in the restaraunt is that of old Hollywood and is a great place. The other option, and our favorite, is Mama Melrose located near Pizza Planet. The restaraunt features an open kitchen design with a variety of Italian dishes as well as a tender filet. Their flatbreads choices are yummy! The setting feels like an open warehouse and is fun and lively and my boys love it.

Either one of these locations will allow you a delicious and unique touch to dinner as well as that special pass to the Fantasmic reserved seating. Enjoy!
