    On my DD's 1st Bday, we (me, DH, DS15, DS12, DD1, mom, and grandma) will be at AK. Couldn't book a breakfast at Tusker House, so would like to make reservations for lunch. Which restaurant would you recommend? Any other advice to make day special? Thx!

    How exciting to be spending your daughter's first birthday at Disney World, Laura! Yak and Yeti offers full service Asian cuisine that your family might enjoy. You might also want to consider the lunch buffet at the Tusker House. Although there are no characters, if you book between 1:00 pm and 1:40 pm, in addition to a delicious lunch, you get reserved seating for Finding Nemo the Musical. There is also a Rainforest Cafe in the Animal Kingdom. It's a huge restaurant so reservations are often available, even at the last minute, and they do a great birthday song!

    Another option is the new Picnic in the Park. For this, you order your choice of either a sandwich basket or your choice of warm rotisserie chicken or ham. Both baskets include your choice of beverages, side orders and dessert. Your order must be made before 1:30 pm, and can be picked up two hours after ordering. You'll receive a map with picnic areas highlighted.
