The DDP says children 3-9 must order from the kids menu where available, but when we are at a place like Casey's Corner that doesn't have a kids meal, will the allocation be taken from our total number of QS meals? Or are the kids meals separate?

Hi Shelby! I am so excited that the Disney Dining Plan is back and your family is going to absolutely love taking advantage of it when you visit. On the day of your arrival, all of your family's quick service entitlements will be added to your account. Each person will get 1 or 2 quick service entitlements each day depending on which plan you chose. The total number of entitlements is not split between kid's meals or adult's meals. It is simply a quick service credit. If a restaurant does not have a kid's menu, your children can order directly off of the available options. Here is a handy guide to the Disney Quick Service Dining Plan that is useful.

When my family uses the Disney Dining Plan, we find that the quick service meals are actually quite large at some restaurants. We often split meals to make our credits go further. This also allows us to try a lot more tasty options. One of my favorite quick service restaurants is Flame Tree Barbecue at Animal Kingdom. The ribs, chicken, and pulled pork sampler is plenty for 2 people and absolutely delicious.

Make sure that you download and use the My Disney Experience app. The app will provide a place for you to keep up with how many quick service meals and snack credits you have remaining on your plan. I hope you have a wonderful time and enjoy all of the amazing food that Disney World has to offer!
