We have the DDP. We are not 'plan ahead' people when it comes to dining so we like to eat where and when we want. Most of the Table Service meals strongly recommend reservations, will we be out of luck if we don't reserve all of our dinners in advance?

Hi, Renee!  If there are specific restaurants or dining experiences that you do not want to miss, I can't recommend enough that you book those in advance.  Especially if you are coming at a time when there is a free dining offer, the restaurants can fill up quickly, and the popular dining options often fill up entirely.

You don't say how many people are in your party, but if you are a large party, I'd also suggest making reservations in advance.  it can be more difficult to accommodate a big party at the last minute.

If you can be flexible about where you eat and the time you eat, you should still be able to find some dining options available, even the day of.  I just spent a weekend with my daughters in Walt Disney World, and due to unforeseen circumstances, we ended up having to change nearly all of our dining reservations at the last minute.  There were four of us, and while we couldn't get everything we wanted, we were able to get some of the restaurants we wanted, and we were even fortunate enough to grab times that we wanted.

You may also find that at the most popular restaurants, a last minute cancellation or a no-show might work in your favor.  We have lucked into a table a couple of times by just walking up to the podium and asking.

    Have a great vacation!
