We have the DDP for our family, our kids 6 and 8, who are good eaters, will sometimes order off the adult menus when we go out. They have the children's DDP. Can we pay extra for an adult meal at a restaurant if our kids would rather have more variety?

Hi Chris! Welcome to the Mom's Panel!  We're glad you're hEAR!  How exciting that you will be at Walt Disney World in just a few short days! You are going to love the Disney Dining Plan!  The Disney Dining Plan has afforded us the opportunity to experience restaurants on property that we might not have been able to try otherwise. Guests ages 3-9 must order from a children’s menu where available. Unfortunately, you will not be able to pay the difference for your kids to order off the adult menu if they are using one of their dining entitlements. I'm so sorry if this was not the information you were hoping for. I had the same concern as you on our last trip with my nine year old and was pleasantly surprised by the variety of choices at the table-service restaurants. Please let me know if I can answer any other questions for your upcoming Walt Disney World Vacation!  Best wishes for a Magical Trip!
    Bon Appétit,
