With the DDP, at what age do kids stop being allowed to order off the kid menu?

    Hi Erin,

The Disney Dining Plan is tied to your park tickets. The age for children is 3-9. Anyone older than age 9 will be charged as an adult and will need to order from the adult menu. This is one reason I do not like the dining plan. There are still restaurants my 15 year old would just rather eat the children's menu.

If you are dining at a buffet, there is no difference between a child's meal and an adult meal as you can take anything from the buffet. However, I am not sure I could eat all my meals from the buffet.

You can look at the menus of restaurants you want to dine at and pick places your children will eat the adult menu. When my daughters moved to the adult menus, we taught them to order by looking at the main part of a meal and then tailoring it. For example, they may like a steak but not the mushrooms that accompany it. So they order without the mushrooms which can easily be accommodated.

    Wishing you a magical vacation!
