    Just 4yo dd and me for our upcoming trip. We will be at WDW for a week and I'm wondering if you have any suggestions for free or cheap activities or souvenirs that are different from the typical things you hear about (though we are doing CRT and BBB)!

    Congratulations on your upcoming Walt Disney World Vacation, Jessica!  You and your daughter are going to create so many magical memories together in the "Happiest Place on Earth!"  Downtown Disney is one of my favorite places to visit on our Disney Vacations and there is no charge to visit. Downtown Disney is an entertainment district with shopping, dining, and entertainment. My kids love visiting the Lego Imagination Store and could play for hours at the free activity center. They love grabbing lunch or dinner at T-REX Café or Rainforest Café.  Another favorite activity is grabbing a Dole Whip from Capt. Cooks at Disney's Polynesian Resort and heading out to the Polynesian beach at night to watch the Electrical Water Pageant and Wishes Nighttime Spectacular. Visiting Disney's Boardwalk always makes for a fun evening while being entertained by the street performers, playing midway games, watching IllumiNations: Reflections of Earth from Epcot, and enjoying a little comfort food: pizza from the Boardwalk Pizza Window. My children also love riding the monorail, miniature golf, and renting a surrey bike. Some of our favorite inexpensive souvenirs include Mickey Rice Krispy treats, Mickey earrings, Vinylmations, Disney themed beach towels, p.j.s, and Disney snow globes. We also like to get the children a Disney Dollar as a keepsake item. The best place to purchase souvenirs, in my opinion, is the World of Disney Store located in Downtown Disney. I have also purchased items from the Disney Store online and then surprised the kids with them on our Disney Vacations. Please write me back if I can answer any other questions for you.
