My DD is 10 for our upcoming trip 1/28-2/4. We have the Dining Plan. She may not always want to order an adult meal. Can we pay for the child meal and therefore"bank" the other adult meals? Thanks

Hi Deborah, a fellow New Yorker!!  My favorite aspect of my Disney vacation is definitely the Disney Dining Plan!  I sympathize with your daughter, as my kids preferred to eat the chicken fingers on the kids menu, than the steak on the adult menu.  During our dining experiences, they have allowed my children to order off the kids menu, and I have paid out of pocket for that meal, and "banked" the credit.  Most restaurants are very accommodating and will allow your daughter to select something off the kids menu, and will allow you to pay separate for the meal.  Another option is to speak to the server at your table to see if they are able to substitute items on the menu.  In this way, your daughter is able to enjoy the meal and you won't have to worry about paying out of pocket.

Hope this helps and please feel free to stop by and ask us again!

Meet the Panelist: Malanie, New York

Hi there! The Disney Parks have been a part of my life since I was a little girl. Introducing my children, husband, and family to all the magic that Walt Disney World can offer has led to countless moments with Mickey and Friends, Disney Vacation Club membership and fun on the high seas with Disney Cruise Lines! Our vacations are usually centered around a visit to the Most Magical Place on Earth, and I am super excited to help you plan and create magical moments for you and your families!
