    DH DS15 DS10 DD8 & myself will be in WDW 10/10-10/15 we are on a very limited budget coming down for MNSSHP. What are some other things that we can do other than the parks as may only be able to get 1 day ticket and party ticket?Thank you for any help.

    Leanne,

    I can speak from recent experience that a trip to Walt Disney World can be a BLAST, even if you are not going into the parks. My wife and I were recently there for a dear friend's vow renewal. The first night the renewal was in the Hollywood Studios, and we had the time of our lives. But the next two days we did not go into a single park, and we loved every minute. Here are some of the things we did;
    • We took in a movie at the AMC Theater at Downtown Disney
    • We watched our beloved Indiana U. Hoosiers basketball game at an area restaurant. We were at Downtown Disney, so we went to Paradiso 37 which was great. But the ESPN Club at the BoardWalk would be even better
    • We went shopping at Downtown Disney
    But you have kids in tow who would want more to do. Here are some other great ideas;
    • We take our girls in October, and we ALWAYS spend 1 day a the hotel pool. That is often our best day of all, and the least expensive!
    • Have some fun, upscale bowling at Splitsville. But check prices first, as they can be a bit on the steep side
    • Miniature golf on property gives you two good options, and lost of fun
    • Enjoy at least one evening at the BoardWalk, which does not require admission and is family-friendly
    • Spend at least one other evening at Downtown Disney. The shopping, family-friendly entertainment, dining and snacks all make for a fun night out on the town.
    • Consider doing some 'resort hopping'. Visiting the different resort can be fun to take in the atmosphere. Maybe go to the Polynesian right before the Wishes fireworks from the Magic Kingdom and take them in from the beach, where they pipe in the soundtrack!

    Write me back with some info on what your kids like to do, and I can offer some more suggestions!

    Have a magical vacation!
