Can you use s DD214 (military discharge papers) to get discounted tickets?

    Hi Amy,
Nice name! Thanks for joining us here at the Disney Parks Moms Panel with your question.

From our military family to yours, thank you so much for your service.  We are continually thankful for our fellow veterans.

The current policy at the Walt Disney World Resort regarding Military Promotional Tickets and military hotel rates is that the purchaser must be an active duty military member or a retired member of the military (or spouse) with proper ID.  Unfortunately, if a DD-214 is the only proof of service you currently have, you will not qualify for any military discounts.

However, don't despair! There are plenty of discounts available to guests on the Special Offers page. I recommend bookmarking this page and visiting it often, as new offers are released frequently.

Please come visit us again with any additional questions.

    Best Wishes,
    Amy S.

I’ve grown up in Central Florida and have been visiting Disney Parks for over 30 years. Now that I’m a mom myself of a blended family with four kids, I love sharing Disney’s year-round special events with my family. Some of our favorite events are the Flower and Garden Festival, Epcot's International Food and Wine Festival and Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party. Let me help you plan something extraordinary for your next Disney Parks vacation! Learn More About Amy
