My DD-16 loves shopping, like all teen girls! I usually get her a gift card and take her to DD. but we're going to WDW w/ park tickets. Is there a particular park that would be great to take her to (shopping wise)? Maybe epcot or MK? Would love your input!

Hi, Christine!  There are loads of great shopping opportunities at all of the Walt Disney World theme parks, but my oldest daughter and I love going to EPCOT.  My daughter is 18 and a veteran EPCOT shopper, especially during the holidays!  Not only do you have awesome stores to get the perfect Walt Disney World trinkets and souvenirs with MouseGears, but the World Showcase offers some unique shopping opportunities that you won't find in most places.

The World Showcase shops have some amazing items from, of course, all around the world!  We especially love the shops in Japan, where you will find everything from silk kimonos to chopsticks, as well as some beautiful dresses and household items.  You will also find Hello Kitty products here that you won't see in stores outside of the parks.  In addition to the great shops of Japan, you will find awesome sweaters and other warm weather items in Norway; tea and shortbread biscuits in the UK; incredible Christmas ornaments in Germany; and even a kiosk with some beautiful handcrafted wood carvings from Africa.

Another option for a shopping spree that my daughter enjoys is a resort hopping shopping spree.  We plan a location for lunch at one of the resorts, then we usually hit the monorail resorts to browse the shops and soak up the atmosphere.  A trip to Animal Kingdom Lodge is always included, because we love the stuff in the gift shop there!

If you have park hopper passes, park hopping is another great way to maximize your shopping opportunities!  You can hit the various hot spots around each of the theme parks!

Have a wonderful time with your daughter!  I love it when moms and teenage daughters can get together and do things like this!
