DH, DD(4) and I are going to Disney next month (3-day hopper) and I will be 6.5 months pregnant - any tips or suggestions on what to do/not do or any words of advice for an expectant mom? We go often, but I've never gone while pregnant :)

Hi, Ashley!  I've gone while pregnant with each of my daughters, and every experience is a little bit different, depending on how you feel with your pregnancy.

My best advice is to listen to your body.  It can be exhausting on a regular day hitting the theme park from rope drop until closing, so don't feel like you have to push yourself.  You've been many times, so you won't feel like you're missing things by opting to head back to the hotel to rest or taking a pool break in the middle of the day.

Stay hydrated!  Being thirsty can not only add to how tired you feel, but it can also add to extra body aches and muscle cramps that you may already be susceptible too because of your pregnancy.  Drink lots of water, even when you feel like you're not that thirsty.

Also listen to your body when it comes to food.  It definitely worked to my advantage during one pregnancy when I told my husband I had a craving for DoleWhip!  He would make a pit stop each night on his way back from the theme parks to pick one up for me at the Polynesian.  Aside from DoleWhip (or Mickey Ice Cream Bar!!) cravings, you should try to stick with a normal eating routine so you don't feel sick from something.

And I recommend this ALWAYS - talk to your doctor or midwife before your trip!  You'll get advice very specific to you and your pregnancy by going straight to the experts.

    Have an absolutely magical time!
