I am glad you cruised by with such an excellent question. I had this very same question before setting sail on the
Disney Magic last week. With all of the awesome updates recently made to the
Disney Cruise Line Navigator App, I wanted my pirates-in-training to be able to utilize it (not to mention, keep in touch with them while onboard).
The good news is that you can count on your own pirates being able to use the app while onboard. Once you step on the ship, you will have a code to activate their access to use the app while onboard. The code will be available under your already established Disney Cruise Line Navigator App. The app gives good instructions on how to do this once you are onboard the ship.
Be sure that everyone has the Navigator App downloaded on their device before you arrive at the port. We have found that data service does not always allow for application downloads in some port locations.
If you have any issues with the app while onboard, stop by and visit the Connect@Sea representative that can help assist you. This representative is located inside the
Promenade Lounge (Deck 4, Aft) on the Disney Magic and
Disney Wonder or on Deck 4, Midship aboard the
Disney Dream and
Disney Fantasy.
