How does the DCL photography differ from what we're used to with Memory Maker/Photopass at WDW?

    Ahoy, Lindsay!

We are so happy you cruised over to "sea" us before you set sail with Disney Cruise Line! My Disney vacation photos are some of my most cherished souvenirs over the yEARs. They help me remember all the magical moments my family has been fortunate enough to experience on both land and sea. As the family member who is typically behind the camera, I thoroughly enjoy taking advantage of Memory Maker when visiting the Walt Disney World Resort and My Cruise Photos by the Shutters' photographers when aboard Disney Cruise Line. I'm glad you asked this question because at this time these services are very different as the photos purchased aboard the ships are actually under a company that partners with Disney Cruise Line called My Cruise Photos. There are packages available for purchase prior to embarkation if you are interested in some savings as a few do offer a pre-cruise discount. You can check out the offerings on their website (www.mycruisephotos.com) by entering your cruise information including sail date. Packages can include some prints, all prints, digital images or a customizable photo book. An online pre-order must be placed at least 24 hours prior to midnight of your embarkation date, and you'll need to print off your order information to bring to Shutters, the onboard photography store

If you decide you don't want to purchase ahead of time or you just want to purchase a few single prints, you can visit Shutters during operating hours for onboard pricing. Photo opportunities usually begin in the cruise terminal and are available at most Character meet-n-greets, before and after each dinner seating and Castaway Cay if your sailing includes a stop at Disney's private island.

I hope my answer gives you a better idea of what to expect, Lindsay. If you have any other last minute questions, please let us know.
