We are 7 days until our cruise departs from Galveston for the Bahamas. Can you help settle a debate between my husband I on what time we should have our private shuttle pick up? When do we get kicked off the ship? Our flight departs after dinner.

Welcome aboard, Meghan! Debating with your husband about Disney Cruise details are the best types of debates to have. Why? Because it means you must be setting sail soon for a relaxing vacation where the hardest decision or debate you'll have will be what activity to do next! You're in for a real treat!

When I sailed a few months back with Disney Cruise Line out of Galveston, I noted the times for disembarkation on the last morning. Guests who have had main dining for dinner will be assigned the early breakfast time of around 7:00 a.m. Those who have had second dining for dinner will be having breakfast about 8:00 a.m. Of course, guests can always choose to just grab a quick bite at the buffet instead of the main dining restaurants that morning.

We ate breakfast at 7:00 for our first seating. By 7:30 a.m., the ship had announced clearance for those utilizing express checkout, carrying their own luggage off the ship. About 7:50, the lobby was opened for those other guests who were waiting to disembark and around 8:10 general disembarkation began. About ten minutes later I was off and ready to go. All guests need to be off the ship by 9:00 a.m.

Since you have a late flight, you certainly don't need to rush off the ship with the first group, but do keep in mind that by 9:00 you'll be leaving, so the latest you'd want your shuttle to get you would be about 9:30. This would give you time to disembark just before 9, pick up your luggage in the port and meet up with your driver.

Thanks for your question, Meghan, and I hope you'll have an absolutely amazing cruise with Disney next week!
