Hi Jennifer,
180 days before a vacation at the Walt Disney World Resort is such a great day! My husband and daughter love making those Advance Dining Reservations because it means we are closer to unforgettable memories.
One of the things I adore about dining at the Walt Disney World Resort is dining with allergies is easy. My daughter has a shellfish allergy and my nephew is allergic to nuts, dairy and eggs. Neither one had an issue finding a meal at any of the restaurants we dined in during our vacation in December.
I recommend you email the cast members at
special diets to confirm if '
Ohana cooks in peanut oil. You can email them at special.diets@Disneyworld.com. They would have the latest information. Generally, the peanut sauce can be removed.
I also recommend noting in your Advance Dining Reservations your daughter's allergy. This notifies the restaurant that a chef will need to come to your table to talk to your daughter about her food needs. Trust me, she will get the royal treatment.
If 'Ohana is still where you want to dine, go for it. We regularly eat at Cape May Cafe which is a clam bake. My daughter can enjoy everything but the shellfish and the corn at that buffet and never had an issue. However, your level of comfort might be different. There are other fabulous restaurants outside the park to enjoy like Whispering Canyon Cafe, the Wave and California Grill near Magic Kingdom.
Wishing you a magical day!
Beth
