I have 120 days till vacation at WDW. Do you think were're okay with dining reservations? We don't have any really hard-tickets on our list. Will the reservationist give me alternate times ( if there are any) at the places I want if my time is unavailable?

At 120 days out, you might have trouble getting reservations at some of the most popular character meals, particularly at peak meal hours. Additionally a few of the other unique or smaller restaurants may be booked (California Grill, Le Cellier), but for the most part you are likely to have plenty of options still open.

When I call Disney Dining (407-WDW-DINE), I generally say something like, "I have a party of five people. I'd like to dine at the Biergarten for dinner on August 6th, ideally around 6:00 p.m." Then the reservationist will type away at her computer for a few seconds and come back and say something like, "I have availability for that restaurant at 5:45 or 7:20." Then you can decide what you want to take.

You can also engage the reservationist in a conversation like, "Can you tell me what times are available for a party of 5 for the Biergarten on August 6th at dinner."

The reservations will also often offer alternative restaurant suggestions if your first choices are booked. For example, if you ask for a reservation at Cinderella's Royal Table and that is completely booked on the date you need, they will suggest that you try similar meals at the Princess Storybook location or 1900 Park Fare.

The wonderful cast members will really work with you to get you the best possible dining experience.
