At 60 days prior to our arrival at a park, we can book Savi's workshop, but what time of day is it available?

Hello there, Doug! Welcome to planDisney! Thank you so much for taking the time to stop by and asking your wonderful Walt Disney World Resort vacation question!

Are you ready for an adventure unlike any other in a galaxy far, far away! In the very near future, you will be visiting Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge at Disney’s Hollywood Studios. Here, you will be transported to the distant planet of Batuu where you will be able to explore the Black Spire Outpost. Guests are able to experience such things as piloting the Millennium Falcon on Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run, sampling the local cuisine, and shopping at the most unique locations.

One of the most popular experiences, though, has got to be building your own custom lightsaber at Savi’s Workshop - Handbuilt Lightsabers! This mysterious place is run by the “Gatherers” that have collected a variety of unusual parts that will comprise your saber. You will have the opportunity to choose the theme of your hilt as well as the kyber crystal that will power it!

Since this experience is so sought after, reservations do tend to go quite fast! Typically, reservations open at approximately 5:45 am Eastern Standard Time. If you happen to be traveling outside of this time zone, be sure to account for any differences in time. Those few hours can make a major difference in whether you can snag a reservation or not!

Whenever I make reservations such as this I usually set my alarm for 20 minutes before reservations open up. This way I have time to grab some caffeine and log into my My Disney Experience account. Doing this helps save a couple of extra seconds whenever I go to make my reservations which have definitively benefited me in the past!

Best of luck as you continue to plan your vacation to Walt Disney World Resort! May the force be with you as you try to grab your reservations!
