Hi Eileen,
If you're visiting Magic Kingdom Park on a day with
Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party, you'll find that the park will generally close at 6:00 p.m. to Guests without tickets for the special event. Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party will last from 7:00 p.m. to midnight.
You'll want to check the
park hours calendar for specifics on the day you'll be visiting, but you should find that even if the park is closing early due to Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party, the
Festival of Fantasy Parade will still happen during the afternoon, however the
Happily Ever After fireworks show likely won't run. Instead, the Holiday Wishes nighttime spectacular will happen during the party.
Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party is my very favorite special event of the year, and I
highly recommend it, but if you don't have tickets for it, your magical day doesn't have to end at 6:00 p.m. If you have the Park Hopper Option added to your ticket, you may feel free to head to another theme park with later operating hours, and if you don't have the Park Hopper Option, visiting
Disney's BoardWalk or
Disney Springs are other super fun ways to spend an evening.
Thanks so much for visiting us at the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Eileen, and please let us know if you have any other questions as you're planning for your trip. I hope you have a truly magical vacation!
Missy
