9 days left! Saw the 10 day forecast. Hot when we get there but a few days before is thunderstorms. I want to be prepared in case. Any tips for rainy weather? We have all of our plans sceduled and want to be prepared. Will they close any rides?

Hi, Ana!  It's rare that the thunderstorms affect much at Walt Disney World, and I think you'll find that a great many attractions are indoors, so the weather won't affect them at all.

My best tips for rainy weather include having ponchos at the ready for your family.  These lightweight, extremely portable ponchos can fold up and fit in a pocket or a backpack easily, and they are great at keeping the bulk of the rain off of you.  I also prefer shoes like Crocs over sneakers on rainy days, mostly because I hate it when my socks get wet!  At least sandals or Crocs will dry pretty quickly when the rain stops.

If you are traveling with a stroller - or even if you are renting one - bring along an extra poncho to cover that up while you are inside an attraction.  I can't tell you how long it took me to get that one figured out - I may have been on my third child!

If the rain starts falling, just head inside.  As I said, there are so many indoor attractions, you won't even know the storms are in the area.  And for the most part, thunderstorms in Central Florida are fast moving, so you may miss them entirely by browsing a gift shop or watching a show.

    Have a great vacation!
