Have 10 days of dinner reserv. If children ages 3 and 4 have reached their melt down point before we get there possible for 1 of us to order our meals to go and take them back to hotel and eat rather then lose the reservation or pay 10 each person?

    Hi, Bonnie!

No worries! If your little park trekkers are just too tired to sit for dinner, simply call 407-WDW-DINE (407-939-3463) - try to call a bit in advance of your dining reservation time, if possible - and ask to be connected to the table-service restaurant where you have booked your reservation. Explain the situation to the Cast Member and I have no doubt they will attempt to accommodate you. One of the adults in your party can go directly to the restaurant location to pay for and pick up your meals while the rest of the family heads back to the hotel. By the way, if you have a smartphone, you can view the menus on the Walt Disney World website to make your selections before calling the restaurant to request that your meals be packaged to take with you.

When my daughter was of toddler age, we found that a great way to avoid meltdowns during our time at Walt Disney World was to take a break in the middle of the day. I highly recommend taking your little ones back to your hotel for an afternoon nap (and swim, if they are in the mood). That power nap really does wonders to recharge toddlers' batteries and allows them to decompress from all the stimuli and excitement in the parks. They will likely awake refreshed and raring to go!

I hope this helps! Please stop back in to visit me with any other vacation planning questions you have.
