144 days and counting!!! My family and I are visiting (11 people total) and lucky to be staying at the new Art of Animation! My question is can you possible upgrade to a Suite upon arrival if necessary? My Mom has a handicap and the Little Mermaid is far!

    Hi Wendy,

This would depend on availability at the resort. The close-to-the-action suite rooms are in the Finding Nemo section. These are preferred rooms that will be in high demand, so there's the possibility that they will be fully booked upon your arrival. If you feel like a suite would best suit your needs, then the best thing to do is arrange for this in advance.

You're also welcome to rent a wheelchair or ECV for your mother. The Disney mobility devices have to stay in the parks, but there are a number of reputable independent agencies that service the Orlando area. Two popular services are walkermobility.com and buenavistascooters.com. They can pick up and deliver their conveyances to your hotel. This might actually be less expensive than upgrading to a suite.

Good luck with your planning. Please let us know what else we can do to help.
