We are 17 days away, and I keep thinking of new questions! Do we have to have an appt for the Harmony Barber Shop? Debating on getting kids haircuts before we go, or waiting until we get there. Will there be a long wait during low crowd season? THANK YOU!

Hi, Sarah! Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel!

Harmony Barber Shop in the Magic Kingdom is such an entertaining place for kids (and adults!) to get their hair cut. There are also some fun add-ons like "pixie dust" and colored hair gel that can make a visit to Harmony Barber Shop a really memorable experience for your kids. And, really, how cool is it to get a haircut in a themed old-fashioned barber shop at the Happiest Place on Earth?!

While walk-ins are welcome, I would suggest making a reservation by calling 407-WDW-PLAY (407-939-7529) to guarantee an appointment time on the day of your visit. Even during lower crowd seasons, I still think it's a good idea to have a reservation because you can plan around your appointment time and won't have to worry about how long the wait might be. The Shop is normally open from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM. One thing to remember is that shampooing is not offered, so Guests should arrive with clean, dry hair. (In other words, don't ride Splash Mountain or come directly from the Casey Jr. Splash 'N' Soak Station before your haircut appointment!)

I hope your kids have a magical experience at Harmony Barber Shop!
