    We are 80 days away from our First Disney trip! We have decided to check- in via the app to take advantage of extra magic hours. Will our meal plan be activated at that time? I know we wont get our mugs until we get to resort..

    Hello again, Crystal! Welcome back and thanks for bringing another great question to us! My friend, Missy, really gave you some great pointers to help make your first visit magical. I am so glad you decided to take her advice and complete Online Check-In prior to your arrival. This extra little step can help get the pixie dust rolling on your first day at Walt Disney World Resort. It will ask you to submit an estimated arrival time, any room requests you may have, a way to contact you during your stay, and a credit card to link to your guest folio for any purchases you may want to charge via your MagicBand. Once you complete all of that with Online Check-In, just give your magic wand a wave with a "bibbidi bobbidi boo," and you will be all set!

    When Online Check-In submitted, then there really is no reason to stop by your Disney Resort Hotel the morning you arrive. You are welcome to just head straight to the parks, taking advantage of Extra Magic Hours if you so wish. Your Disney Theme Park Tickets and Disney Dining Plan will be linked to your MagicBands and ready to use that morning. By the way, have you customized your MagicBands yet? If not, sign in to your My Disney Experience account and check out all of the standard colors offered, as well as the really great optional upgrades now available. Personally, I have my eye on that Pineapple Swirl one! Since it is your first visit, let me share my Disney "must-do" with you - that Pineapple Swirl MagicBand is themed to quintessential Disney treat, the Dole Whip. Be sure to stop by Aloha Isle at some point and use one of your Snack entitlements on this little taste of paradise!
