What day of the week does Magic Kingdom have "extra magic hours"? Is it usually the same day of the week or does it change? I am not going until September, so I know the calendar is not published yet. I like to plan as early as possible. Than

    Hi Kristie,

Extra Magic Hours are a great opportunity for Disney resort guests to get a little extra time in one of the four parks before it opens to outside guests. If you are an early riser, or a night owl, you can often sneak in a number of spins on your favorite attraction before the crowds increase.

The Extra Magic calendar is available approximately 180 days in advance and does change from month to month, often depending on the time of the year and how busy the parks are. Extra days are added to the calendar during heavier travel times. I am aware of no "posted information" that indicates set days for morning or evening extra magic hours at any one specific park. I can tell you that in reviewing the extra magic schedule, that is currently available through August, the morning hours for Magic Kingdom are consistently on Thursday. During heavier travel times, there are also extra morning hours on Tuesdays. The September hours should be posted very soon and can be found here at that time.

    Hope this helps. Happy planning!
