The day that we visit Animal Kingdom, I would like to stop at the Animal kingdom lodge for their buffet breakfast. Does it make sense to do that? This is our first time on Disney property, so not sure if that would be time consuming getting the shuttle.

Hi Wendy! The buffet breakfast at the Animal Kingdom Lodge's Boma is popular for good reason. The buffet offers all the standard breakfast fare in addition to lots of unique and tasty African-inspired items. If you'll have a car during your Disney vacation, then it's easy to stop at the Animal Kingdom Lodge for breakfast before heading over to the Animal Kingdom park.

If you're planning to use the complimentary Disney transportation during your vacation, then getting to Boma takes a while: you'll have to take a bus from your resort to a park, and then hop on a second bus to the Animal Kingdom Lodge. Because that trip could take an hour or longer, it may not be the best use of your Disney time. If your heart's set on breakfast at Boma, you could always take a cab to the Lodge, and then after breakfast, hop on the bus to the park. Another option is to consider dining at Tusker House inside the Animal Kingdom so you won't have to spend extra time traveling to the Lodge. The breakfast buffet there offers similar African-inspired foods and includes the added perk of characters!
