I am going on a 4 day trip to WDW and then a 3 day cruise with my 12 year old daughter. How do the meals work? Do you get to eat at the different restaurants? I guess I'm use to the assigned table with the same people option on other cruises.

Welcome back, Penny! A Disney cruise is so much more magical when you make it into a Land and Sea adventure, by adding fun days at Walt Disney World before your sailing!

Dining onboard the Dream is delicious and easy because of Disney's Rotational Dining. You'll be assigned a different restaurant each night of your sailing, rotating you through all three main restaurants throughout your cruise. I love not only experiencing all three spots, but that our dining servers rotate with us, so the servers we have on night one will be with us on nights two and three in the other restaurants! They get to know your preferences and you'll have fun getting to know them too! Simply arrive at your assigned restaurant and enjoy the delectable food that Disney's chefs have created just for you!

Disney allows guests to put in special requests like dining alone as a family, or a specific dining rotation. If you and your daughter would prefer to dine just the two of you each night, call the agents at Disney Cruise Line at (800) 951-3532 and add that request to your reservation. Though they cannot guarantee these types of requests, I've found that they do their very best to accommodate them, so if that is how you'd prefer to dine, you can most likely do so!

Now, for breakfast and lunch, you can choose to dine anytime at the main restaurants, Cabanas buffet, or one of the quick service spots by the pool. It's your cruise, after all, so dine when and where you'd like! Plus, there is Complimentary 24-hour Room Service, if you'd prefer to enjoy a relaxing breakfast or lunch in your stateroom. My kids love ordering cookies and milk as a late night snack before bed!

One thing is for sure, you'll be fed very well on your Disney cruise! Happy planning, Penny!
