We have 8-day tickets purchased for a cancelled trip. If we visit WDW soon but only use 5 days, will the remaining 3 carry over for a future trip? In the past there was a 14 day use window but the policy on partially used tickets isn’t clear now. Thanks!

    Hi Amy!

Thanks for bringing your question us at planDisney!  While I can understand the frustration of a canceled trip, I'm hopeful that you are able to reschedule your visit to the Most Magical Place on Earth sooner rather than later!  Lots of new information on the Parks reopening is being released regularly, so make sure you check out the Know Before You Go page of the Walt Disney World website to ensure that your vacation goes smoothly!

My family and I have been going to Walt Disney World for quite some time, so we have seen the evolution of tickets and use windows.  Currently, there are varied expiration dates for tickets, depending on their days.  With an 8 day tickets, guests have 12 days from first use in which to utilize park admissions. This FAQ on Walt Disney World tickets gives a full breakdown of expiration days per ticket. Unfortunately, should you use solely 5 admissions on an 8 day ticket, they do not carryover to a future date.  You would need to utilize them prior to the 12 day expiration window.

Hope this helps you plan your magical vacation and be sure to visit us again!
