We have 5 day tickets to Disneyland. We go 2 days, take a break, 2 more days, take a break, then our final day. Do I need to wait until all the days are available to reserve or can I make them as the days become available on the calendar?

Hi Nicole! Thanks for bringing your question to planDisney.

This is a great plan for using your 5-day admission tickets. You can enjoy your resort, the pool, Downtown Disney District, and be ready to jump back into the magic of the parks after your break days. You sound like park pros, but don't forget when you're visiting over multiple days it's also extra important to be comfortable. Bring comfortable shoes! My personal preference is to bring at least two pairs of comfortable shoes, as switching mid-day really helps my feet last. Pack layers too, since the morning and evening can be cooler. And even if it is cooler, bring a reusable water bottle: Staying hydrated will keep you feeling good throughout a longer day of walking.

You're correct that currently, you need a theme park reservation in addition to your admission ticket, but you don't need to wait for your fifth day to fall within the booking window. Guests can book 120 days before their first park day. As the first day of your vacation becomes available within the rolling window, you can make that theme park reservation. Since you're visiting at a very popular time of year, booking as soon as possible is a great idea. Parks and days are subject to availability, so you don't want to risk your preferred park or date filling up by waiting too long.

It's a popular time to visit because of all the festive fun of the Holidays at the Disneyland Resort. As your visit approaches, be sure to check out the Disney Parks Blog for all the official updates on what merriment is coming your way in the parks. You're bound to find festive décor, merchandise, and entertainment, and you'll want to have your must-do list ready to go! My must-do includes the holiday overlays on much loved attractions like "it's a small world" Holiday. My trips admittedly often revolve around what yumminess I want to indulge in. If you're like me and you want to know what special treats will be featured during the holidays, follow Disney Eats for all the foodie information you could crave.

I hope you have a jolly good time!
