Hi Sara! Thanks for dropping by planDisney.
It sounds like you're ready to book your
dining reservations, which is great because you're already in the 60-day window to make reservations for your upcoming vacation. I can walk you through how to go about making those reservations and provide you with some recommendations for my favorite dining choices.
To see what reservations are available for your preferred date, hover over "Things to Do" on the Disneyland Resort website. Click "Make Reservations." You'll be asked how many Guests are in your party, your preferred date, and time. Once the options appear, you can further narrow down your search by clicking "All Filters" and selecting "Character Dining" for that
Character Dining Experience you're dreaming of, for example.
If you're looking for a Character Dining recommendation, I love
Goofy's Kitchen at Disneyland Hotel, but if you've got your heart set on dining with Mickey Mouse, you'll want to book a reservation for
Mickey's Tales of Adventure Breakfast Buffet at Storytellers Café in Disney's Grand Californian Hotel & Spa. Either way, you will enjoy a delicious meal while meeting your favorite Characters. It's a great way to start your magical day and my favorite way to interact with Characters especially if you've got little ones along.
If you're looking for an elegant evening dining experience my top two choices are
Napa Rose in Disney's Grand Californian Hotel & Spa and
Carthay Circle Restaurant on Buena Vista Street in Disney California Adventure Park where we've enjoyed some of our favorite meals inside or outside of the parks.
Blue Bayou Restaurant is a tricky reservation to secure because it's such an iconic immersive experience, but if you can nab a spot, you'll love dining in perpetual twilight while enjoying Creole-inspired cuisine. There are great casual options too. For some yummy comfort food, you can't go wrong with
Plaza Inn on Main Street, U.S.A. in Disneyland Park.
Check the complete list of restaurants accepting reservations at Disneyland Resort by navigating to "All Dining" under "Things to Do" and filter your choices by selecting "Reservations Accepted" at the top of the page. View their menus by clicking on the restaurant and clicking "View Menu" to help you narrow down where you'd like to dine. There's something for everyone!
I hope this helps! If you'd like to explore what festive treats you can indulge in during your visit, which falls during
Halloween Time, follow
Disney Eats for all the official updates. There are some options that look absolutely hauntingly good. How about that Poison Apple Macaron at Jolly Holiday Bakery Cafe on Main Street, U.S.A.? I'd have my camera ready for that one!
Have a spooky time!
Elizabeth
