Katelyn,
Thanks for asking your question to planDisney!
Yes, you definitely can enjoy two parks in one day with the Disney Park Hopper pass. There is so much to do in each of the four parks, you were never going to do EVERYTHING in a park in one day anyway. But with Park Hopping, you can enjoy a bit of two worlds, all catered to what your family prefers to do on vacation.
To begin, Park Hopping is convenient when you are moving between
Disney's Hollywood Studios and
EPCOT, or the
Magic Kingdom and EPCOT. These two routes, which are served by the
Disney Skyliner and the
monorail respectively, are easier because you are dealing with these convenient transportation services.
Next, if
Disney's Animal Kingdom Theme Park is high on your list, visit there in the morning before busing to your next park.
Why? Well, the animals are more active in the morning, and the other parks can be far more compelling in the evening.
HOPPING BONUS TIP #1Disney has a bus service between parks, starting just before 2 pm specifically for Park Hopping, where needed. When hopping, if you can catch one of those buses that leave closer to 1:30 pm, that would get your hopping off to a good start.
HOPPING BONUS TIP #2While you are not guaranteed to be able to get into any given park when you are hopping, since the second park must have available space, I have never had a problem getting into a second park on my travels. If you were trying to get into the Magic Kingdom on a super busy day, like Christmas Day, you likely would have a problem, but most days you should be fine.
HOPPING BONUS TIP #3How will you know if that next park has available space? When getting ready to park hop, just call
(407) 560-5000. That is the
Park Hopping Hotline (or at least that is what I call it!), and it will tell you the status of all the parks, and if the park you want to hop to has space.
BOTTOM LINEIf you want to visit all four parks, I suggest for one day you start at Hollywood Studios and end at EPCOT. For the other day, I would start at the Animal Kingdom and end at the Magic Kingdom.
