How much is a day ticket?

Welcome back to planDisney, Sheena! It’s always great to see a fellow Disney enthusiast returning with more questions. I noticed your previous inquiry about a 3-day ticket was answered by my planDisney bestie, Melissa H, for Disneyland in California. Although you didn’t specify which Disney park you’re interested in this time, Hakuna Matata! I’m here to help cover all your bases and provide information for both Walt Disney World in Florida and Disneyland in California. That way, you’ll have all the details you need, no matter which magical destination you choose!

At Walt Disney World, the cost of a 1-day base ticket varies depending on the date and park you plan to visit. Ticket prices are generally higher on weekends and peak seasons, while weekdays may offer lower rates. Additionally, the park you select can influence the ticket price, with Magic Kingdom often being slightly higher than other parks. For added fun, consider upgrading your ticket with options like the Park Hopper, which allows you to explore all four parks, Magic Kingdom, EPCOT, Disney’s Hollywood Studios, and Disney’s Animal Kingdom, in a single day. For example, a 1-day 1 Park Per Day ticket in March could range from $164 for Animal Kingdom to $184 for Magic Kingdom. If you chose the Park Hopper Option, the price would be $249. There’s also the Park Hopper Plus option, which adds access to the water parks and other attractions. These enhancements offer more flexibility and excitement, but will also increase the cost.

For Disneyland in California, a 1-day ticket similarly varies based on the date of your visit and whether you choose Disneyland Park or Disney California Adventure Park. Peak times like weekends and holidays will typically be pricier. You can also add a Park Hopper ticket here, allowing you to visit both parks in one day for more magic! Looking at the same date range in March, the 1-day 1 Park Per Day ticket costs about $164 and increases to $234 if you choose the Park Hopper. If you have additional questions about Disneyland, be sure to include that information in your next planDisney question, and Melissa H, Camille W, or Jen W would be more than happy to assist you further.

Thanks again for returning to planDisney, Sheena! If your plans involve a visit to the Walt Disney World Resort in Orlando, FL, I’d love to help you choose the perfect Disney Resorts Collection hotel or guide you through the Lightning Lane Multi Pass process so you can experience as many top attractions as possible during your day.

    See you real soon!
