    11 day stay at PO_R. I will be renting a EVC from off site co. Requesting a ground floor room, no guarantee on that. Question: Where/how do I over night charge my EVC? In my room, in the hall? What if I am not on ground floor? Need answers before res

    Hi Cheryl,

    There are elevators to the second floor rooms in the Mansions section of Port Orleans Riverside. Given that you have mobility issues and have made an advance request, I believe the odds are very much in your favor for being given either a first floor room or a room accessible by elevator. Medical requests are given priority.

    The vast majority of Disney guests using ECVs will charge them inside their room. The only place I have personally seen guests charge outside the room is at Bay Lake Tower, which is only accessible to guests with reservations there. There is no external hallway for the rooms at POR. It's set up in a motel-like configuration so that the room to your room opens directly to the outdoors, not to an internal hallway. There are very few electrical outlets in the outdoor walkways. Additionally, anything left outdoors would be subject to damage in a driving rain.
