almost as exciting as the trip itself. Almost.
The cost of a trip to
Walt Disney World Resort will vary greatly depending on several factors. One big factor that will impact the cost of your trip is the time of year you choose to visit. Pricing for theme park tickets and the Disney Resorts Collection hotels are not static. They vary by season, and even day to day. Busier seasons, such as spring break season and the holiday season, tend to draw more crowds, which will be reflected in hotel and ticket pricing. Holidays like Easter, Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year’s Day will have a similar impact on crowds and prices. Also, prices tend to be highest on the weekend and lower during weekdays.
Another big thing that will impact the cost of your overall vacation is your resort.
Disney Resorts Collection hotels are divided into Deluxe Resort Hotels, Moderate Resort Hotels, and Value Resort Hotels. Deluxe Resorts are the most expensive, while Value Resorts are more budget-friendly. Moderate Resorts fall somewhere in between. Each increase in category will give you a few more amenities and perks, such as the
Extended Evening Theme Park Hours for Guests staying at Deluxe Resorts or Villas.
Luckily, the Walt Disney World Resort website makes planning a vacation pretty seamless! On the welcome page, you’ll see a “Build Your Vacation” banner right at the top. Here, you can enter your travel dates, along with how many Guests will be in your travel party. You can also filter resorts from this initial menu, but I recommend leaving this set to “All Resort Hotels” so you can see all of your options. On the next page, you’ll be prompted to choose your resort. Each resort includes a “Resort Overview” link with helpful details to guide your decision. Once you’ve chosen your resort, you’ll be able to select your room category. Staying at a Disney Resorts Collection hotel comes with some great
benefits, Brandon.
Next, you’ll select your
theme park tickets. You’ll be able to select how many days you’d like to visit the parks, as well as the ticket type that best fits your plans. Options include 1 Park per day, Park Hopper Option, Water Park and Sports Option, and Park Hopper Plus Option. Each ticket type will have a detailed description to help you decide which ticket type is right for you and your travel party.
You’ll then be prompted to add a Dining Plan.
Disney Dining Plans allow you to prepay for your meals ahead of your trip. If this is something you’re interested in, you can choose between the Disney Dining Plan and the Disney Quick-Service Dining Plan, and you’ll be able to review the cost for each. And that’s it! With just a few easy clicks, you’ll get a good idea of how much your trip will cost.
