I have the 3day socal ticket. The 1st 2 times I tried to buy LLMP via app after entering the park. The app got stuck "thinking" when loading the payment page. The app worked the rest of the day. What can I do to buy LLMP on my 3rd day?

Hi Jane! Welcome to planDisney. I’m sorry to hear you’ve run into that issue right when you’re trying to kick off your day (that Lightning Lane Multi Pass purchase moment is an important one). Let’s walk through a few ways to help things go more smoothly on your third visit.

First, I recommend making sure your Disneyland app is fully up to date. Updates roll out regularly, and an older version can sometimes cause issues when loading key features like the payment screen. A quick check in your device’s app store before you arrive can help avoid that early-morning delay.

Next, take a moment to review your payment method in the app ahead of time. From the home screen, tap the menu (☰), head into “My Profile,” and then “Payment Method.” Confirm that your card is current and saved properly. You might even consider adding a second payment option as a backup, just in case one method doesn’t process smoothly.

When you enter the park on your third day, try connecting to a strong, stable signal before making your purchase. Sometimes switching between Wi-Fi and cellular data can make a difference (if the app seems stuck “thinking,” toggling your connection off and back on can help reset things). You could also try force-closing and reopening the app before attempting the purchase again.

If you’d like a little extra peace of mind, you can stop by Guest Relations right after you enter the park. They’re a great resource for troubleshooting and can assist with purchasing Lightning Lane Multi Pass directly if the app continues to give you trouble. It’s a helpful fallback so you don’t miss out on those early return times.

As a quick Q-Tip for once you’re up and running: after you’ve secured your first Lightning Lane selection, consider setting a reminder on your phone for your next booking window. It’s a simple way to keep your day flowing smoothly, especially as return times start to stretch later into the afternoon.

Jane, I hope this helps set you up for a seamless start to your third day. With a couple of quick checks and a backup plan in place, you’ll be ready to jump right into the fun. If you have any additional questions, please don’t hesitate to visit us here again at planDisney!

Have an incredible day making the most of your time at Disneyland Resort,
