we have a 5 day reservation in april. can you tell me more about the star wars nite which will be going on while we are there? will the park be closed during this time? and how we can reserve tickets for this event? cost?

Hello there, Jess! Star Wars Nite is one of my favorite After Hours Events, and I make it a priority to visit every year, like a Jedi returning to the Temple. I’m thrilled to tell you more about this ultimate Star Wars extravaganza!

Star Wars Nite is a Disneyland after-hours event designed to unite fans of the Force from across the galaxy. Each night is packed with stellar activities, from joining Rey to power up your lightsabers in a show of unity to a costume cavalcade where fans can show off their finest attire while marching down Main Street, U.S.A., on their way to a special photo with Mickey and Minnie in front of Sleeping Beauty Castle. The event also features exclusive merchandise and out-of-this-world treats. Character encounters and immersive photo ops are among the most legendary highlights. Last year, guests had the chance to capture a moment with Han Solo encased in carbonite (a fate best avoided!), while over in Galaxy’s Edge, C-3P0, Hera Syndulla, and Chopper from Star Wars Rebels were spotted on patrol, greeting visitors. Perhaps the most unforgettable sight was the chance to meet Luke Skywalker, Princess Leia, and R2-D2 together, a trio that would make any Rebel’s heart soar. And if you seek royalty, Queen Amidala is a must-see. You might even cross paths with her Jedi protector, who, as we all know, has strong feelings about sand. These rare encounters are more elusive than a Jedi in exile, so be sure to seize the opportunity!

Star Wars Nite is exclusive to event attendees, meaning Disneyland will close to regular guests at 9 p.m. on event nights. Star Wars Nite participants do not need a separate park reservation and may enter Disneyland up to three hours before the event starts, giving you time to pick up credentials and enjoy attractions before the galactic festivities begin. Tickets are available through the Disneyland website, with prices starting at $169 per guest and varying by date. I checked the calendar for your visit, and tickets are currently available for Tuesday and Thursday. If you have a Star Wars fan in your family, this event is as essential as the Death Star plans in a Rebel briefing!

As for making purchases in the park, Jess, cash, credit, debit, and Disney Gift Cards are accepted throughout much of Disneyland Resort. The Disneyland app even has a “Guest Services” option that will display all available ATMs should you need additional resources. However, payment for the remainder of your reservation must be handled via credit card. To make your final payment, log into your MyDisney account, navigate to My Hotel Reservations, and select “Make Payment.” Alternatively, you can call the Guest Services phone line for Vacation Packages for assistance from a helpful Cast Member.

I hope this information helps, Jess! No matter how you choose to spend your time at Disneyland, you’re bound to make a galaxy’s worth of memories. Please feel free to visit us here at planDisney again.

May the Force be with you!
